Law and Order Cancelled, FIL’s TiVo Cries

May 15, 2010
NBC announced yesterday that the long-running Law and Order series is being cancelled.  Since it was his favorite show, I’m sure my father-in-law (FIL) is sad.  The soul purpose for me to upgrade his TiVo with a larger hard drive was so he could store hundreds of hours of Law & Order (451 episodes to be exact).  All of the coverage I read stated how declining ratings was the primary reason.  If you ask me, the show was never the same with the loss of Jerry Orbach.  However, with all of the spin-offs and reruns, no one can put Law & Order in the corner.  Details here (NPR) and here (NY Daily News).

He'll just have to get over it! The TiVo is busy anticipating the new season of Mad Men.
