Google TV Upgrade Spotted at CEDIA

We’re at the 2011 CEDIA conference checking out the latest and greatest gear for your home theater. In the Sony booth, the Hub saw the new version of Google TV. It was running on Sony’s existing Google TV-enabled white Blu-ray player. The upgrade includes a new nifty navigation bar on the bottom of the screen. It also lets you watch live TV while you navigate and run other apps. The most interesting part of the upgrade is the app store which opens the door to lots of additional functionality (two apps pictured below). No definite release date to share yet.  Screen shots below. We’ll have more to share later. Stay Tuned.

    The GoogleTV team sent a tweet towards the end of September saying the big update was a few weeks away.
