To get us ready for the season 2 premiere of Game of Thrones on April 1st, HBO just released a short film to call the banners. The 22 minute film featuring interviews with the creators, executive producers and cast is broken up into four parts. The first two parts are devoted to reviewing the events of season one. It’s a good refresher if you saw Game of Thrones last year or for folks who want to just want to jump right into season two. Then again, if you have access to HBO GO or On Demand, you should really watch season one first. The second half sets the stage for season two and shows behind the scene footage on location. I’m going to pass on watching the second half as I like to be surprised. The film can be watched below. It’s not available on HBO GO yet but it’s supposed to go up by Sunday. Another way to get ready for season 2 is to check out HBO’s Game of Thrones Viewers Guide with interactive family tress and maps. The only way to watch Game of Thrones season 2 is to subscribe to HBO via cable or satellite. Sounds like an idea dreamed up by the Lannisters.
